    Even if you don’t have a connection to help Elizabeth get the private jet that she needs to make her life-saving Dr’s appointment, you can still help! Joyce Meyer ministries considered donating use of their private jet but denied the request. We are writing Joyce Meyer, asking them to reconsider… Following is more information and a sample letter you can send to Joyce Meyer- every letter counts!!! Thank you.

    The following is a repost from Helen Raser, Lyme Disease Advocate:

    PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN – WRITE LETTERS TO JOYCE MEYERS – OR ANY OTHER IDEAS YOU HAVE – TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE – WE HAVE TO GET ELIZABETH TO THE DOCTOR IN MD BY JUNE 19!!!

    NOTE FROM DR COREY CAMERON …

    Wow. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support. Elizabeth and I are so touched by the love we feel from all of you. We are so exhausted from this roller coaster ride of hope and disappointment. In spite of her pain and devastation, El.izabeth worked so hard to try to reach out for the help she desperately needs and we feel this is her last chance for help. We don’t understand how a ministry of God can leave ‘the one’ when Jesus himself went back for the one sheep who was lost. Elizabeth is’ the one’ who keeps getting left behind walls that are too impossible to climb. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support. Helen, when youre on the war path, theres no greater warrior! We love you.

    TO ASK THEM TO RECONSIDER THEIR DECISION ABOUT PROVIDING A PLANE FOR ELIZABETH CHALKER TO GET TO A DOCTOR IN MD FOR LIFE SAVING TREATMENT!!! (Read sample letter below)

    Dear Ms Meyers,

    I am so disheartened to hear that you will not help Dr. Elizabeth Chalker, to receive the potentially life saving treatment she has sought for years.

    Finally, a doctor is willing to treat her to escape the utter hell she has been living, and she encountered yet another obstacle to her final chance at life.

    I have known Elizabeth for almost 2 years. She has done more Christian ministry from her virtual death bed than most people do skating through life.

    As evidenced throughout her book, “Hanging On By The Scratch Marks My Nails Left Behind”, Elizabeth has withstood greater trials than Job, and throughout the blazing inferno that is her life, she has still managed to help others through faith that surpasses human understanding. Her dream is to regain her lire so she can fulfill her dreams of helping others, in even greater ways than she did before illness robbed her of this ability.

    Please re-think, re-evaluate, and re-pray this decision. You are Elizabeth’s last hope to get to the doctor who is her last hope. Surely, God does not want her life to end this way, or to deprive the world of an angel.

    I am begging, pleading, beseeching you to help Elizabeth. The God of my understanding would not close the door in her face after all she has endured.

    Please find it in your heart to help her!!!

    Good news!!! Just heard that http://www.missionsmadepossible.com will fly Elizabeth with a $5000 in donations each way, so $5000 to get Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker (Lyme-Literate Medical Doctor and Mold Toxin expert) in MD on June 19th, and $5000 to get Elizabeth back home to FL. The website is down right now, but will post again when I see this plan is up and running on the Missions Made Possible website. This pilot, Kenneth Guill, is in Florida and can longer fly people for free due to increase in fuel costs and lack of donations. However, what he is offering is less than half of full-price for this length flight (2 hrs. non-stop). I will keep you posted when I get the go ahead for direct donations, made to him, just as soon as his website becomes functional and we get something in writing for Elizabeth Chalker. Prayers being answered, God is good! Thank you all for your love and support… Shelley Know-Lyme

      Thankful that Elizabeth will have airfare!!! Thank God:)

        Thanks, Michelle- unfortunately, we found out that this plane wouldn’t work for Elizabeth since it isn’t pressurized and can’t make a non-stop flight. I just modified Elizabeth and Corey’s letter to Joyce Meyer Ministries so we can send it to an appropriate party, celebrity, etc… who might have access to or actually fly a private plane. Here it is:

        {FILL IN DATE}
        Dear {FILL IN NAME OF CELEBRITY},

        Hi, I am writing to ask for your help. My friend and fellow Lyme Disease sufferer, Elizabeth Chalker, doesn’t know where else to turn. She is 39 years old, fighting for her life, and has been surviving late stage Lyme disease with many co-infections, systemic Endometriosis and biotoxin (mold) illness for many years now. She has not been able to get the medical treatment that she needs due to lack of finances, practical help and ignorance in the medical field. She is mostly bed-ridden now due the progressiveness of the diseases and the debilitation they have caused. The only doctors that will even take her ‘complex case’ are in Washington State and Switzerland. She lives in South Florida (Boca Raton). Before Elizabeth can have any treatment to address the Lyme disease, co-infections and Endometriosis, the biotoxin illness has to be medically treated. The doctor who specializes in that is Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker in Maryland. After working very hard to get all of her summaries and medical records together, he has reviewed her case and agreed to take her as a patient. She has an appointment scheduled with him in Pocomoke, Maryland for the 21st of June this year. All Elizabeth Chalker needs now is a way to get to Maryland and back.

        Dr. Corey Cameron (who is a mom to her and the only one physically going through this season with her daily) and Elizabeth have been calling every Angel/Mercy Flight place they can to get a flight for her. The Angel/Mercy Flights will not take her, as they are volunteer pilots who give of their time and money and can only do short, 300-mile legs, and their planes are too small to accommodate her medical needs. Elizabeth is just not able to take several planes to get to and from Maryland, due to how ill she is physically. They have called private plane charters and the fee is too high. She can’t afford to pay $10,000+ one way. They are unable to drive to and from Maryland because of Elizabeth’s severe light and sound sensitivity, and over-stimulation of her brain and central nervous system from being in a car so long. The only way she can get to Maryland and back is on a non-stop private plane with a pressurized cabin. I am asking if you can please help her make this life-saving appointment? Would you (or someone else you know) be able to fly Elizabeth and her mom, Corey, to and from Maryland for the June 21, 2011 appointment with Dr. Shoemaker? All the other travel details, such as hotel, are complete. They would need to get there on Sunday, June 19th and return back home on Thursday, June 23rd.

        Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter. We thank you from the bottoms of your hearts for considering our request.

        In gratitude,
        {YOUR NAME HERE}
        {YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HERE}
        {YOUR PHONE NUMBER HERE}

        PS- Whatever additional information you need/would like to have, we are more than willing to provide. You can contact Elizabeth and her mom, Dr. Corey Cameron at this website:

        http://www.helpelizabeth.net

        NOTE FROM DR. COREY CAMERON: ***Elizabeth is ambulatory to get on and off the plane and I will be with her the whole time… Elizabeth and I take full responsibility for her during the trip.***
